Day 201 / July 10, 2024

Today we left our secluded campground in the woods and headed to a campground in Soldotna for some much needed full hook ups. The steady stream of laundry for a family of five might just be the death of me! 🧺

The kids were craving Chick-fil-A so I humored them and looked up where the closest location was. We were not prepared for what we found out. 🍗
Seeing a separate truck pump is rare on the Kenai Peninsula so we had to take advantage of it.
The local dentist office decorates their moose carving to match the holidays.
Those homemade XtraTufs though!
We popped back into the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge to turn in a Junior Ranger that they had started a few weeks ago.
We happened to be in town on the right day so we checked out the Soldotna Wednesday Farmers Market.
What are the odds?!
They hit the spot but they certainly weren’t as good as real Wisconsin cheese curds. 🧀
We just happened to catch a presentation by the Sovereign Nation of the Kenaitze on our way out.
Adler was all over this type of arts and crafts!
The presenter from the Kenaitze Elder Program demonstrated how to create a fish stamp work of art.
After he painted the fish, Adler used some cloth to “stamp” it which created a very unique piece of art.
Now that is an awesome souvenir!
Our evening was spent preparing and packing. Riggs even got fitted for his life jacket like a good boy. What could our next adventure be?!
