Day 109 / April 9, 2024

Now that the solar eclipse is over, we had one more day to hang out with Nana and Papa before we continued on with phase 2 of our road trip.

We decided to check out Fredericksburg, Texas together.
The first stop was a playground that the kids spotted as we rolled into town.
The city of Fredericksburg is known for their award winning wineries and German heritage. This sign was the perfect example of Texas and Germany melding together. 🤠🇩🇪
The downtown area had lots of interesting shops to check out.
You know you’re in Texas when…
This sign made me laugh. We survived the eclipse! 😎
We enjoyed a meal at Fredericksburg Brewing Company.
Followed by ice cream, obviously. Anyone know a good dentist that would be willing to travel with us? 😵
Then it was time to say, “See you later!” to Nana and Papa. Thank you for coming to visit us!
We made it back in the nick of time for our Spanish lesson. Apparently Riggs has also enrolled himself in the class.
All of a sudden an evening thunderstorm blew in and we had to rush around picking everything up. That’s one way to get ready to leave tomorrow!
