Day 154 / May 24, 2024

We really enjoyed our campsite(s) at Banff Tunnel Mountain. Why the plural campsites? Since we booked only a few weeks before (as opposed to a year before like most campers) we pieced together reservations. This meant setting up and moving sites – not once, not twice, but three times during our 6 day stay. 😵‍💫

Today after school we went to visit Johnston Canyon. There was a black bear in the grass by the parking lot just minding his own business.
Johnston Canyon is the most popular hike in all of Banff because it is accessible and packs a punch in a short distance.
We thought that the views were cool from the start of the trail.
The color of the water just never got old!
Lower Johnston Canyon Falls
Upper Johnston Canyon Falls
The sound of the water crashing was quite noisy as it fell from a height of 40 meters. (We’ve fully committed to metric while in Canada. 📏)
Getting in touch with his social media influencer side 📸
We wanted to get a closer look at the lower falls on our way back down the trail.
So we ducked through this little tunnel…
…and were greeted by this sight on the other side! 💦
