Day 103 / April 3, 2024

Today we were reunited with Nana and Papa again! Riggs just about wagged his tail off when he spotted Papa. The kids loved unpacking our mail from home, the packages we had shipped to their house and lots of goodies from Nana. It was like a delivery from the Pony Express! 📬

We headed to a nearby town for dinner. Gruene, pronounced “Green” (go figure), was settled in 1845 by German farmers who couldn’t find any available land in New Braunfels.
Gruene Hall was built in 1878 and is still a starting point for many up-and-coming country music performers.
The whole town was just adorable and we enjoyed walking around after our dinner at the Gristmill River Restaurant.
It felt wrong to pass up a homemade ice cream shop.
Gruene Hall was even cooler looking at night!
