Day 102 / April 2, 2024

Before we left Village Creek State Park Elleny had to get sworn in as a Texas State Park Junior Ranger. The activity book was a cinch but like I said, extrinsically motivated. 😉

The coolest part about chatting with the ranger wasn’t being awarded the Junior Ranger; it was the wolf spider that Elleny pointed out as we were leaving. He came right over and showed us the tiny spiderlings on her back. Fascinating as long as they stay far, far away from me!
Our drive today took us straight through Houston which was a bit cRaZy. 🤪 Each side of the freeway has nine lanes plus another whole freeway system disguised as a frontage roads on each side. That’s a total of 26 lanes making it the world’s widest freeway.
Finished a little schoolwork once we were safely parked in our Harvest Host spot for the night.
Always bringing the comic relief 🙃
