Day 206 / July 15, 2024

I’ve lost count of how many times we’ve visited Soldotna over the past few weeks but it’s been a few. 🤪
It’s a nice town with a good mix of stores plus gems like Ken’s Alaskan Tackle.
You can’t beat being right on the Kenai River and watching people fish for sockeye salmon.
All good things must come to an end however, and today we were literally heading to the end of the road – Homer.
Seeing the Homer Spit on the drive in was so cool. They don’t call it the terminus of the Sterling Highway for nothing!
Our campsite for the next few nights was on the Homer Spit which meant lots of freedom for a certain d-o-double-gg to be able to run around.
FREEDOM!
Tide pooling on the shores of Kachemak Bay
Prettiest driftwood
😍
Homer, I think that we like you already.
