Day 190 / June 29, 2024

Another day, time to see another part of Kenai Fjords National Park. Today was all about the water, plants and animals that are a part of the fjord estuary ecosystem.

That’s a whale-y big sculpture in front of the visitor center. 🐋
There was a ranger leading a guided walk along the Seward waterfront so we joined in.
She used a neuston net to collect a sample from Resurrection Bay.
The kids used magnifying glasses to learn about the fjord ecosystem.
It was pretty cool to be able to see zooplakton in the samples. 🔍
Junior Fjord Ranger patch earned!
Riggs loved having the freedom to run around right across from our campground.
Living their best Alaskan life this summer!
Nana and Papa took us out to dinner with a view!
After dinner we walked the docks and shopped for our dream boat.
We spotted sea lions cruising around in the harbor.
They were a little a bit terrifying as they devoured fish carcasses!
