We were packing up the RV to leave Fairbanks this morning when something unusual happened during Riggs’ walk around the campground…

The KOA was doing a photoshoot today and the photographers asked if we would be willing to be models. 😱
We said that we’d be happy to participate, signed the waivers and Everett started networking right away with the photographers. Micah and Jenna are actually from St. Paul, MN so we only live 30 minutes from them. Small world!
They asked to just act natural and continue with packing up our campsite. The kids played at the park while they took pictures and then we said goodbye to the Clemons family.
The moms did a some route planning together and these friends will be seeing each other again soon! Reconnecting with these sweet kiddos was such a fun surprise and just what our kids needed.
After the photoshoot was done, Micah gave Everett an aperture light and told him that his future was bright. He remarked multiple times that Everett knew more about the specifics of their camera gear than they did. 😂
A few hours later than anticipated (but still cracking up that the KOA would be interested in using our family for their promotional materials) we were en route to our next stop.
