Day 118 / April 18, 2024

Today was our last day and we still hadn’t made it to the visitor center. Even though the Grand Canyon is the second (!!!) most popular national park in the US the visitor center is only open a few days a week with very limited hours. Go figure. 🧐

We had to document one last picture of this ridiculously crowded campground before we hightailed it out of there.
We didn’t hightail very quickly however because the entrance to the Grand Canyon was packed today. We had to drive through the park to get to our next stop so we brought the Beast along.
Par for the course that a very popular national park would staff their very popular visitor center that has limited hours with only one ranger. 😱
The enlarged map really helped to put into perspective how grand this canyon really is!
Elleny helpfully demonstrated how far we hiked yesterday.
The Grand Canyon is so big that it makes its own weather.
South Rim Junior Rangers
The drive from the South Rim up to Page was super pretty!
Riggs is going to enjoy his time here! 🐾
